色鮮やかに描かれた森。アーティスト、板谷龍一郎による作品、「Forest」。

年内の仕事やほとんどの忘年会も終わり、皆さんも残るはおうちの大掃除とお正月の準備といったところ？今年もいよいよ、これが最後のPingMagの記事となりました！本日のゲストは、アーティストの板谷龍一郎さん。表参道ヒルズのアートワークなどで、細かに描かれたそのカラフルな作品に見覚えのある方も多いことでしょう。今日は、そんな板谷さんの素晴らしい作品をご紹介しながら、2008年を明るく、元気に締めくくりたいと思います！

自己紹介をお願いします。

1974年大阪生まれ、板谷龍一郎です。現在は東京を拠点に活動しています。見たモノを独自の視点で描くフリーハンドのラインと、鮮やかな色彩感覚による作品が特徴です。CITYシリーズやTHINGSシリーズなどを個展で発表しながら、最近では表参道ヒルズの1周期年アートワークや朝日新聞の挿絵を手掛けています。

J-WAVEのためのアートワーク、その名も「J-WAVE」。

2008年は板谷さんにとってどのような年でしたか？

2008年はアクリル・ペインティングに挑戦しました。新しいミディアムを使って描くことは、とてもやりがいがあり、楽しいことです。

いつもと違う色で描かれることで、こんなにも違う景色になった「Ginza」。

動き始めたLEGOの街！作品名は「Lego_City」。

2009年の抱負と予定は？

2009年はもっと大型の作品を描いていこうと思います。また、東京の丸の内ギャラリーにて個展を予定しています。

アメリカの雑誌「dwell」の為に描かれた「Red_Flowers」。
