潜入！セニョール・ココナッツのPV制作現場

セクシーな美女三人と沢山のバナナに囲まれているのは、南米出身のドイツ人アーティスト、アトム・ハート。今日のPingMagは、アトムのPV制作現場に潜入！

エレクトロニック・ミュージック界の鬼才、アトム・ハートが長年取り組んでいる風変わりなラテン・ミュージック・プロジェクト、セニョール・ココナッツ。先頃リリースされた新作「アラウンド・ザ・ワールド」では、プリンスやユーリズミックスの名曲をラテン風にリメイクし、大きな注目を集めた。今回は、そんなセニョール・ココナッツのPV撮影現場に、なんとPingMagが潜入！スタイリッシュでモンドなパフォーマンス・ユニット、ROMANTICAとのコラボレーションということで、スタジオ内では賑やかな光景が繰り広げらた。

今回PV撮影が行われるのは、ドイツのニューウェイヴ・バンド、トリオの「ダー・ダー・ダァ」のカヴァー。ちなみに、アトムが本格的なPV撮影を日本で行うのは初めてとのことだそう。

12:00 スタジオ入り

取材班が東京某所のスタジオに入ったのは正午。撮影監督の梅川良満（うめかわ・よしみつ）さん、編集監督の笹生宗慶（ささお・むねちか）さん、ROMANTICAの演出家である林巻子（はやし・まきこ）さんが中心となって、スタッフ全員が慌ただしく動いている。ROMANTICAは、メイクや衣裳の準備で大忙し！

テーブルの上には大量のフルーツ。

まずは小道具の撮影から。50年代のヴィンテージのティキ像のカップに、ストローやミニチュアの傘などを念入りにセッティング。

12:40 アトム・ハート登場

「Ecstasy」と光り輝く看板が設置されると、スタジオ内はいきなり妖しげな雰囲気に。そんななか、ブラウンのスーツに身を包んだアトム・ハートが登場！スタッフとニコやかに挨拶を交わして、早速、簡単なミーティング。事前に絵コンテをチェックしていたアトムは「うん、面白いね」と納得の様子。以前、日本のライヴで競演した経験もあるアトムとROMANTICAの信頼関係が窺える。

一方で、小道具の撮影は淡々と続く。モニターで映りを確認する梅川さんと笹生さんは、配置や照明の位置を微調整しながら、最もバランスの良いカットを根気よく探していく。

14:00 出演者、勢揃い！

「マツケンサンバ」のPVを観てしばし談笑したアトムは、真っ白いスーツに着替えて再登場。ビキニ姿のROMANTICAの3人も揃って、スタジオ内が一気に華やかになる。まずは、寝転んだアトムとROMANTICAを俯瞰で押さえるカットから。ステレオから流れる「ダー・ダー・ダァ」に合わせて身体をポージングするROMANTICAとクールなアトムをモニターでチェックしつつ、画角を変えたパターンを撮影。


「格好いい！」と、思わず叫ぶスタッフも。

…そのすぐ横には別のスタッフ。

15:00 セッティング&撮影

続いては、ROMATICAのみのシーンを撮影。撮影スタッフが移動用レールをセッティングした後、セクシーな柔道着、ゴリラの着ぐるみ…と次々に衣装を変えるROMANTICA。撮影クルーはレール上の移動を何度も繰り返し、振り付けとのタイミングを入念にチェックする。


胸元には「女道」という謎の文字…。

…そしてゴリラの着ぐるみ。

何度も衣装を着替えるROMANTICAの3人。

17:15 まだまだ撮影

食事から帰ってきたアトムがROMANTICAのカットを確認し、ここでも「いいね」と満足げな表情。スモークが炊かれたスタジオでは、ディスコティックな照明をバックにセクシーなダンスを撮影中。


セクシー全開！

「キレイ〜」という声がこだまする。

スタッフとモニターを眺めるアトム。

その後は、カフェをイメージさせるワンシーン。クールに佇むアトムの前に、ROMANTICA扮するウェイトレスが現れ、ティキ像のカップをひとつ置いく。間髪入れず、もう一人のウェイトレスがカップを、そしてもう一人…と、3つのカップが並んだ光景を見て、アトムが「どういうこと？」といった表情を浮かべるユーモラスなシーン。ここではアトムの見事な役者ぶりをスタッフ大絶賛。アトムも上機嫌に「Great Service！」とROMANTICAを讃えた。

19:00 ひたすら回転

続いては、回転台に乗ってグルグルと回転するアトムとROMANTICAの撮影。監督からの注文がなくても、サッとポケットに手を突っ込んでポーズを取るアトム。スタッフからの「パーフェクト！」という声には、さすがのアトムも少し照れた表情を浮かべていた。

時にはこんなポーズも。

最後は、セクシーなデビルに扮したROMANTICAのカット。スタッフの表情にも少し疲労が窺えるが、朝から撮影を続けてきただけあって、やりとりもスムーズ。

全員を悩殺…。

20:30 撮影終了！

撮影はここで終了だが、スタッフにはまだ撤収という仕事が…。そして、撮影カットをまとめる編集作業もまさにこれから…！


「ダー・ダー・ダァ」が収録されている、セニョール・ココナッツの新作「アラウンド・ザ・ワールド」。

後日、撮影の感想をアトムに訊ねると「とにかく、撮影の段取りの良さに驚いたよ。なにせ次々に撮影が進んでいくんだからね。完成が楽しみだよ！」とのこと。近い世界観を共有するセニョール・ココナッツとROMANTICAのコラボレーション作品となった「ダー・ダー・ダァ」。果たしてどんな内容となったのだろうか？

…と思いきや、後日、編集部に完成品が到着！！気になる映像は下からどうぞ！関係者の皆さん、ご協力ありがとうございました！そして本当にお疲れさまでした！
