If you cannot guess what that is, don’t worry! It is an Origami style “patient dog” (only that this one is done in 3D by Michael Chu.
In the next couple of days, we will have some fun with IMG SRC staff folding dogs to bring some good luck to PingMag in the coming year of the dog!
We created a little questionnaire for those who participated enthusiastically the origami-contest. The nicest ones even went up to decorate our tree in the office!

Here we go, starting our little series with Nishina.
Nishina is our “mother” and looks after all of us, does lots of paperwork, makes sure we get our dinner with a nice smile every day. Thank you so much for that! Here is what we asked her:
1. What was your favorite PingMag article?
Well, #1 should be Hardcore fashion from Hamansutra.
I think PingMag is the only magazine who featured him. Especially if you live in Japan, it is hard to read about “hardcore” ambitious artist like him. I feel lucky to get to know him through Ping.
I would love to read more “making things” articles like that one.
2. What have you learned (in your job or in your life) this year?
Nothing special, really. I learned how to cook delicious Takoyaki, though! And seeing PingMag developement from the beginning, I started to be interested in English. (”Ping! I want to learn English!” something like that…)
3. What is your new year’s resolution?
Visiting the Grand Shrine of Ise, the peaks of Tateyama, and Kurobe Dam. In the winter time next year, I would love to visit Akita prefecture. And then of course, improve my English….

fold there…
4. Plans for the days off?
Chirstmas: I haven’t decided what to do, but I will probably eat cake at home! For New Year I’m going to spend some time in my parents house. I will scrounge around if I can find any cool toys/home appliances from my childhood (which is 30 years ago!)
5. What do you want Ping to be in the future?
I would like Ping to feature something I’ve never seen or something that no other media has talked about it yet.
6. Link to personal page, project or any other comments?!
no :)
