PingMag Party!

5 Sep 2005 Category: Events & Exhibitions, Japan

PingMag had a little celebratory party last Friday in Harajuku. Designers, journalists, programmers and artists all gathered in the very chic “Bakery Cafe” to enjoy drinks, entertainment and the beautiful garden terrace - all courtesy of Pingmag & IMG SRC. Uleshka and Tom introduced PingMag to the crowd (again) and friends of PingMag young Jeff, Toshikotono Hanayagi (aka. Mamie) and L?K?O provided us with smooth lounge music, Japanese dancing and experimental turntable madness.

A good night was had by all. I was moved by the delicate aesthetics of the dance and enjoyed the thumping vibe of the music, but the Brit inside me was probably most impressed by the glorious open bar and their never-ending supply of alcohol.

I was also designated cameraman for the night and since there are more photos than usual for a daily entry, I’ve put them in a little gallery for you to see:

Cheers!
