Japanese street artist Yoshinori Sakamaki known as Sense had an exhibition opening party at that little posh temporary gallery inside the Chanel building, 2F on Omotesando on friday 27th (nice contrast, actually- but then, he already did some respectable “posh designs”). In this collaborative exhibition featuring various local street artists, one could enjoy sense-style-shapes on canvas, 3D, in film and on T-shirts. Nice esthetics I must say! Sense is also a member of Dada-Kingz, a Tokyo- Live- Performance- Unit, that is worth seeing. They will have a little showreel at the next Pechakucha Night!
The first time I saw Sense paint was about 3 years ago during all those design- events in Tokyo every autumn. He was doing some live painting together with a drummer on the side of Aoyama Dori. Not knowing who he was, I was more than glad to find him again in this exquisite exhibition. Keep up the good work!
